ISLAMABAD (DNA).. Interestingly, a very small number of media people turned up to the farewell press meet arranged by the outgoing Ambassador of China Yao Jing.
Arrangements were made for around 100 people however only 30 to 35 people turned up. The event was scheduled to start at 6 pm however at 6 pm only 10 people were present.
The event was then delayed for half an hour. Till that time around 30 people were present in the venue.
The people present on the occasion were heard gossiping since the ambassador is leaving therefore even those people who used to flock to the Chinese embassy even at small gatherings were seen missing.
Another view was that since there was no food provided hence low turnout. Regarding food the Embassy provided media people with meal vouchers, however media people perhaps did not like that idea.
The ambassador however delivered very emotional speech and said he was leaving country with heavy heart.
