ISLAMABAD, JULY 26 (DNA) — The LPG price has been increased by Rs10 per kg. The prices have been increased for the fourth time without the Ogra notification. The new price of LPG has increased from Rs230 to Rs240 per kg. With this hike, the price of domestic cylinder has risen to Rs2,830 while the rate of commercial cylinder has increased to Rs 10,900.
In hilly and remote areas, the price of LGP has surged to Rs370 per kg, domestic cylinders’ rate has hiked to Rs4,130 and commercial cylinder’s price increased to Rs15,890. The official price of LPG is Rs177 per kg and the price of the domestic cylinder is Rs2,092.
LPG Association Chairman Irfan Qadir announced a strike on August 5 and 6 against the increase in fixed prices of the commodity. He said that the association would stop the gas supply from Khyber to Karachi, calling upon the government to launch a crackdown on black marketers. — DNA
