Mohsin Naqvi pays tribute to PAF on February 27

ISLAMABAD, Feb 27: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has paid glowing tribute to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on the seventh anniversary of Operation Swift Retort, calling 27 February “a golden chapter in the history of the Pakistan Air Force and a historic day of national resolve and military professionalism.”

In his message, Naqvi said that the “valiant Pakistani Shaheens” delivered a resounding response to aggression on 27 February 2019, proving Pakistan’s superior preparedness, timely intelligence, and precise targeting capabilities. He stated that the coordinated command-and-control system demonstrated Pakistan’s operational edge and professional excellence.

The interior minister said the PAF “shattered the arrogance of the enemy’s air power,” earning a lasting place in the nation’s history. He added that even seven years later, new challenges have emerged, and Pakistan has responded firmly to recent provocations.

Naqvi remarked that “the enemy has attacked in new forms, and the Afghan Taliban have now been given a stone-for-brick response,” asserting that the patterns of India and the Afghan Taliban regime “intersect and reinforce each other.”

He affirmed that Pakistan possesses full capability to defend its borders and national sovereignty, stressing that “the protection of Pakistan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty will be ensured at all costs.”

Naqvi reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation but warned that any act of aggression or adventurism would meet a decisive and effective response. He said the unparalleled courage and historic role of the PAF Shaheens on 27 February will always be remembered by the nation.
