LAHORE, NOV 30 /DNA/ – The process of Lahore’s business community joining the Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) continues to gain momentum, with several major trade groups from Brandreth Road and other commercial hubs expressing their full support. Yesterday, a large delegation of traders visited PIAF House, signaling a growing trend of collaboration between the forum and the city’s business leaders.

The delegation was led by PIAF Vice Chairman Tahir Manzoor Chaudhry and included prominent figures such as Ali Iqbal Chaudhry, President of Hassan Center; Sajid Hussain, Chairman of the Textile Traders Association; Azeem Kharbanda, President of Anjuman-e-Tajiran Brandreth Road; Sheikh Javed Ahmed, a senior leader from Brandreth Road; Sheikh Fayaz Ahmed, President of City Traders Association; along with Ali Hafeez, Rana Akram, and other influential traders. They announced their unconditional joining of PIAF, emphasizing their confidence in the forum’s leadership.

PIAF Patron-in-Chief Mian Anjum Nisar and Lahore Chamber of Commerce President and PIAF Chairman Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigal warmly welcomed the delegation, alongside former Chamber President Muhammad Ali Mian, Executive Committee members Sheikh Umar Sarfaraz, Rana Muhammad Nisar, Ahsan Shahid, and several other office-bearers including Sheikh Qaiser Mukhtar, Sheikh Abdul Manan, Zeeshan Sohail Malik, Sheikh Sajjad Afzal, Rana Nadeem, Riffat Malik, Lala Yasar, Ali Shiraz, and PIAF Secretary Sheikh Abdul Sattar.

Speaking at the occasion, Mian Anjum Nisar expressed his gratitude to the business community for placing their trust in PIAF. “The support and confidence of these trade groups is invaluable,” he said. “Their joining strengthens PIAF and reinforces our mission to address the challenges facing Lahore’s business community.” Nisar highlighted key issues affecting traders, including FBR and Para Force actions, the Lahore High-Rise Program, and RDA-related matters, assuring that these concerns will be tackled on a priority basis.

Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigal added that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and PIAF are committed to working closely with traders and business associations. “Our aim is to serve the business community sincerely, act as a bridge between traders and the government, and ensure that their issues are addressed efficiently,” he said.

The joining of these groups underscores a larger trend of consolidation within Lahore’s business community under PIAF’s platform. Several other trade associations and influential business leaders are expected to join in the coming weeks, reflecting growing confidence in PIAF’s ability to advocate for the commercial sector.

“This is a positive sign for the city’s traders,” said Muhammad Ali Mian, former President of Lahore Chamber. “PIAF is providing a structured forum where the concerns of traders can be heard, and actionable solutions can be implemented.”

Sheikh Fayaz Ahmed, representing the City Traders Association, said, “By joining PIAF, we are uniting to present a stronger voice on issues that impact our businesses daily. We believe this collective effort will help in resolving regulatory challenges more effectively.”

The event also highlighted PIAF’s focus on proactive engagement with all stakeholders. Through consultations, the forum seeks to strengthen trade relations, promote industrial growth, and facilitate better coordination with government authorities.

With more trade groups expressing interest in joining PIAF, the forum is emerging as a central platform for business advocacy in Lahore, ensuring that the concerns of traders are addressed collaboratively and efficiently.
