WASHINGTON DC: OCT 25 (DNA):Finance Minister, Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb, held a meeting with the leadership of Mashreq Bank.
He appreciated the Bank’s longstanding partnership with Pakistan and highlighted the performance of the economy over the past year.
The Minister briefed the Bank’s leadership on the reforms committed under the recently concluded IMF Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
He expressed the government’s intention to tap into international capital markets in due course.
The Finance Minister also expressed satisfaction that the Bank was expanding its operations in Pakistan and would soon launch a new office.
He hoped that the approval of its digital banking license would be processed swiftly.
