Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi: Olly Stone's replacement confirmed for PSL 9 matches

Zimbabwe pacer Richard Ngarava replaced English seamer Olly Stone in Multan Sultans squad for the remaining matches of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine on Tuesday.

Ngarava has claimed 94 wickets in 88 T20 matches, so far, over the course of his career.

Stone was ruled out of PSL 9 because of an injury in his right groin last month.

The English speedster was injured during his first match of PSL 9 against Islamabad United on February 20. He was forced to walk off the field without completing the remaining two balls of his fourth over.

Sultans are currently at the top of the points table in PSL 9 with six wins in seven matches and have already qualified for the playoffs.

The Rizwan-led unit will face Peshawar Zalmi today at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Similar to the previous edition, the ninth edition of the PSL will unfold in two legs. The matches from February 17 to 27 took place at Multan Cricket Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, hosting a total of 14 matches.

The cricketing action then shifted to Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, where 16 matches will be played from February 28 to March 12. The tournament will conclude in Karachi with the playoffs.
