DHAKA, JAN 6: Bangladesh ace fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has joined the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the forthcoming edition after he was removed from the Indian Premier League (IPL) on the instruction of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
According to details surfaced on Tuesday, Rahman has previously played in the Pakistan’s marquee tournament in 2017-18 season for Lahore Qalandars. He played five matches for the Qalandars, scooping up four wickets.
It is pertinent to note that Rahman was removed from the IPL after the threats given by the extremists. On the instructions of the BCCI, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had removed from the league.
Subsequently, many of the cricket pundits rallied behind Rahman as he was the only Bangladeshi player, who was originally scheduled to play the IPL.
