NAB Balochistan could only recover Rs6.5 billion in 20 years


QUETTA, JULY 28 (DNA) — The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan could only recover Rs6.56 billion from corrupt elements during the last 20 years. According to the Balochistan government sources, the money was recovered between 2002 and 2022 from politicians, government officials and contractors.

Around Rs2.21 billion were recovered through plea bargain while the corrupt elements voluntarily returned over Rs1.58 billion. Around Rs940 million were recovered under the head of fines to the corrupt elements. Around Rs2.76 billion were recovered through the confiscation of the properties of the corrupt elements. — DNA
