NAB, district admin hold anti corruption rally in Sukkur

SUKKUR, Dec 09 (APP):A public awareness rally was held on International Anti-Corruption Day, observed here on Tuesday to raise awareness about the menace of corruption. 

The event was organized by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sukkur in collaboration with the district administration under the theme “Youth Against Corruption: Building a Brighter Future.”

The rally started from Jinnah Municipal Stadium Sukkur and culminated at Sukkur Press Club. It was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Bushra Mansoor, Director Awareness and Prevention NAB Sukkur Imran Ali Mangrio and Assistant Commissioner Sukkur City Sarah Faraz.

Addressing the media, Imran Ali, Director NAB Sukkur, Abdul Hafeez Chachar, Director Anti-Corruption Establishment, Bushra Mansoor, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sukkur, and Sarah Faraz, Assistant Commissioner Sukkur City, emphasized the importance of raising awareness about corruption and its ill effects on society.

They stressed that corruption is a major obstacle to national development and urged citizens to join hands in the fight against it.

Imran Ali stated that NAB is observing a public awareness week on the directives of its chairman to sensitize people about the dangers of corruption. He announced that seminars would be held in schools and colleges during the week to educate students about the issue.

The rally was attended by a large number of students, teachers, and representatives of civil society, including Special Branch Sukkur Group Officer Nadeem Ahmed Bhutto, Principal Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College Sukkur Dr. Muhammad Saleh Channa and officials from various government departments.
