NAB EFCC MoU Strengthens Global Fight Against Corruption

ISLAMABAD: DEC 18 /DNA/: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) signed Landmark MoU with Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nigeria, on the sideline of 11th Conference of States parties (CoSP11) in Doha, Qatar, marking a pivotal step in strengthening international cooperation against corruption and financial crimes.

The MoU was signed by Chairman NAB, Lt. Gen (R) Nazir Ahmed, and Executive Chairman EFCC, Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyode, formalizing a partnership rooted in mutual commitment to transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.

This collaboration aligns with Pakistan’s and Nigeria’s obligations under the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and reflects a shared vision to combat transnational corruption through sustained bilateral engagement.

Chairman NAB, Lt. Gen (R) Nazir Ahmed emphasized that “this partnership will not only bolster our investigative and prosecutorial capabilities but also reinforce the global fight against corruption. Together, NAB and EFCC will work to ensure that justice prevails across borders.”
