National cricketers’ fitness tests conducted in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The fitness tests of the national cricketers conducted on Saturday in Faisalabad ahead of the forthcoming Champions One-Day Cup.

According to details, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Imamul Haq, and Haris Rauf, among others, had undergone at the High Performance Center. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesperson said that the fitness test of Shan Masood Babar Azam and other linchpins will also be held.

The purpose of conducting the fitness tests is to reorganize the central contract list, during which the fitness tests of 30 players will be conducted.

Earlier today, PCB Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi said that all the teams will participate in the forthcoming Champions Trophy, slated to happen in February next year.

Expressing his thoughts, Naqvi spoke about the appointment of BCCI Secretary Jay Shah as the International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman. “We remain in contact with Jay Shah. We have no worry with the PCB chief,” he said.
