Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan on Saturday said holding a constitutional position in an unconstitutional manner was a violation of the Constitution.
Talking to media in Islamabad, Gohar Khan said the PTI possessed the required majority in the complete electoral college for the presidential poll. He said constitutional posts were paramount and the ruling coalition parties distributed the posts breaching the democratic norms and overlooking the ability of the persons they were being assigned to.
Referring to the PML-N and PPP leaderships, the PTI leader said the two families controlled the national resources earlier as well and they were going to occupy the institutes and their offices now too.
He said Asif Zardari’s victory in the presidential election was not a good omen for beefing up the democracy or parliament.
