Nepra notifies 89-pasia per unit increase in power tariff

ISLAMABAD, MAR 09 (DNA) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Tuesday notified 89 paisas per unit increase in the electricity rates to generate about Rs6.9 billion additional revenue. 

The increase was allowed on account of monthly fuel cost adjustment (FCA) for electricity consumed in January 2021 and would be charged from consumers in the current billing month (March). The tariff increase will be applicable to all consumers except lifeline consumers i.e. 50 units per month and K-Electric consumers. = DNA
