Newly constructed parking facility at Pak secretariat opened for public

ISLAMABAD, SEPT 14: /DNA/ – In line with the direction of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the newly constructed parking facility at the Pak Secretariat has been opened for employees of government offices and general public. The primary objective of this initiative is to provide a permanent solution to the long-standing parking problems faced by employees of the most important Government offices in the Federal Capital, Islamabad and general public visiting from afar.

According to details, the parking area at the Pak Secretariat spans approximately 133,729 square feet and has the capacity to accommodate a large number of vehicles in the new parking area. The completion of this parking facility will benefit not only the employees of the Secretariat but also personnel working in nearby Government and Semi-Government offices as well as the general public.

Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that this project is an important part of efforts to improve civic facilities in the Capital City of Islamabad and to develop Islamabad into an well planned, beautiful, and public-friendly city. He mentioned that resolving a fundamental issue like parking will not only reduce traffic and parking problems but will also prevent the wastage of citizens’ valuable time and energy.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhwa praised the relentless efforts of all the teams working on the project and said that this initiative will not only make life easier for government employees but will also provide convenience to the general public.

Chairman CDA directed that vehicles should only be parked in designated spaces and sheds to ensure the parking system remains organized and efficient. Furthermore, clear signboards should be installed at prominent locations to guide citizens so that every citizen can easily benefit from this modern facility. Chairman CDA also instructed that high standards of security, lighting and cleanliness must be ensured in the parking area so that the public can utilize this facility in a safe and better environment.

Chairman CDA further said that in the coming days, modern parking projects on the same pattern will be initiated in other busy areas of the Federal Capital, Islamabad, to effectively manage the growing population and vehicle pressure. He said that CDA is committed to creating every possible convenience for citizens, and all available resources are being utilized for this purpose.
