NUML signs MoUs to enhance skill development and media training

ISLAMABAD, JUL 25 (DNA) — The National University of Modern Languages (NUML) signed two key Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing industry-relevant skills and strengthening practical media training for students. The first MoU was signed between NUML and the TEU Professional Development Centre (TEUPDC).

Director General NUML, Brigadier Shahzad Munir, and Executive Director TEUPDC, Brigadier (R) Muzaffar ul Hassan, signed the agreement. This partnership aims to serve as a model public-private initiative focused on boosting employability through targeted short courses and professional training programs. Both institutions will collaborate to offer industry-aligned courses, build capacity in high-demand sectors, and equip youth with skills suited to the evolving job market.

In another significant development, NUML also signed an MoU with Azaad Media Academy. DG NUML Brigadier Shahzad Munir and Patron-in-Chief of Azaad Media Academy, Murtaza Solangi, formalized the partnership. Through this collaboration, the Academy will offer internship opportunities to students of NUML’s Media and Communication Studies Program, providing hands-on experience in journalism, broadcasting, digital media, and the use of Artificial Intelligence in modern media practices.

Speaking on the occasion, DG NUML expressed optimism that these collaborations will lead to meaningful outcomes and mutual benefit, reinforcing NUML’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry. — DNA
