ISLAMABAD, NOV 16 /DNA/ – The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Intervarsity Volleyball Championship Zone-E 2024-25 concluded today at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Gymnasium, with NUML emerging victorious in a thrilling final match against the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST). NUML clinched the championship title with a decisive 3-0 win, securing their place in the upcoming All Pakistan Intervarsity Volleyball Championship at the Pakistan Sports Complex on November 20, 2024.
A total of seven teams participated in the Zone-E tournament, representing NUML, Arid Agriculture University, COMSATS, HITEC University, CUST, Air University, and the University of Kotli, AJK. The three-day event, held from November 13-15, saw top-notch volleyball action and enthusiastic support from fans who gathered at the NUML Gymnasium.
The final match was graced by Brigadier (Retd) Mazhar Masood, Director Administration at NUML, as the chief guest. He commended all participating teams for their sportsmanship and competitive spirit, emphasizing the value of sports in building character, resilience, and unity. Brigadier Mazhar presented the championship trophy to NUML and recognized CUST as the runner-up.
