ISLAMABAD, MAY 22 /DNA/ – Commissioner Rabia Aurangzeb stated that over 40,000 employees are registered with the Islamabad Employees Social Security Institution (IESSI).

This means over 40,000 families receive top medical treatment from IESSI.

Aurangzeb spoke during a meeting with Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).

She emphasized that workers are the backbone of the economy.

She urged cooperation from all stakeholders for workers’ welfare.

Aurangzeb assured commitment to providing quality healthcare by setting up hospitals and laboratories.

Bakhtawari affirmed ICCI’s support for IESSI’s medical facility initiatives.

He suggested allocating part of the new Parking Plaza in Blue Area for a Social Security Hospital laboratory.

Bakhtawari recommended using generic medicines to save the hospital’s budget.

He demanded that the hospital and dispensary in I-10 sector be handed over to Social Security Hospital.

This would improve medical facilities for workers and their families in Islamabad.

Bakhtawari promised to encourage over 8,000 ICCI members to register their employees with IESSI.

Secretary General United Business Group, Zafar Bakhtawari, praised ICCI-IESSI coordination.

He said this partnership will enhance medical facilities for workers.
