PAAA members bid a farewell meeting Azerbaijan ambassador

ISLAMABAD: The delegation comprising the senior members of Pakistan-Azerbaijan Alumni Association (PAAA) called on Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Ali Alizade. On behalf of the delegation Engr. Qaiser Nawab, Founder PAAA appreciated the meritorious and valuable services render by Ali Alizade towards building strong diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

MrAlizade warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed the importance and significance of Pakistan-Azerbaijan Alumni Association (PAAA) in promoting bilateral relations and strengthening people to people contacts.   He appreciated the exemplary support of the people particularly the youth and the Govt. of Pakistan on the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh based on justice and obligations of international law.

On the issue of landmines in the liberated area of the Nagorno-Karabakh, he urged the youth to raise the issue nationally and internationally, so that we can save innocent lives and expedite the resettlement process of the Internally Displaced Persons IDPs.

Mr. Alizade showed his solidarity with the people of Pakistan in the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue.  He informed that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev assured his strong support based on justice to COAS of Pakistan General Qamar aved Bajwa in his recent visit to Baku. The delegation also assured full support to the mission and goals of Azerbaijan and Pakistan diplomatic relations towards global peace and sustainable development.   

In the end, Dr Aneela Malik presented a souvenir and Mr Asif presented the Ambassador’s personal portrait on behalf of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Alumni Association (PAAA) as a token of appreciation with the best wishes for his personal and family life. The Ambassador gave literature materials about Azerbaijan to the delegates and ended with a group ph
