Pakistan And Azerbaijan Expand Cooperation In Digital Innovation And Public Service Delivery

ISLAMABAD: MAR 13 (DNA):Strengthening bilateral ties in the digital sector, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, H.E. Khazar Farhadov, met with Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, in Islamabad today.

This high-level meeting followed Prime Minister Pakistan’s recent visit to Azerbaijan and focused on enhancing cooperation in technology-driven public services. Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized that relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan continue to grow, with increasing collaboration in digital transformation and citizen-centric initiatives.

A key topic of discussion was Asaan Khidmat Centres, which are designed to simplify government services and improve accessibility for the public. “The Prime Minister’s vision is centered on making public services more efficient and accessible.

We are actively working towards a ‘One-Stop Shop’ model that streamlines service delivery and supports ease of doing business,” said Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja.

The Minister also highlighted Pakistan’s Smart Islamabad Project and Citizen Services Portal, which share objectives with Asaan Khidmat Centres by leveraging technology to enhance public service accessibility. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to furthering collaboration in digital initiatives and public service modernization, paving the way for more efficient, transparent, and technology-driven governance.
