RAWALPINDI, Sept 24: Pakistan and the Maldives have reiterated their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations, with both sides expressing satisfaction over the positive trajectory of political and diplomatic engagement between the two friendly nations.
The reaffirmation came during a meeting between Maldives Speaker H.E. Abdul Raheem Abdullah and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional security, bilateral cooperation and avenues for enhancing collaboration in diverse sectors.
