PAKISTAN-BELARUS EDUCATIONAL COLLABORATION HIGH ON BILATERAL RELATIONSHIP AGENDA

Minsk, OCT 24 /DNA/ –Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission Abdullah Amin and Mr. Shahmir Amir (Cyber Security Expert from Pakistan) visited Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) The Deputy Rector for Scientific Activities Dr. Sergey Shetko, Head of Research Unit Dr. Mikhail Dyadenko, Head of International Cooperation Department Ms. Olga Rogova and Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology Mr. Dmitry Shiman attended the interaction. The Deputy Rector gave a detailed presentation on the structure and programs of the University.


The two sides discussed the opportunities of mutual cooperation between Pakistani Universities and Scientific organizations and BSTU. The Ambassador assured to assist the University delegation in arranging their meetings with the relevant Pakistani institutions during their visit to Pakistan in November 2021 for participation in the exhibition “International Trade and Industry Fair” in Karachi.


The top Pakistan Cyber Security expert Shahmir Amir offered to cooperate in education particularly through organizing courses on Cyber Security for the students of BSTU through a mix of online and physical participation. The University management expressed its readiness to consider the proposal and the two sides agreed work for strengthening the educational ties between the two countries.


Established in 1930, BSTU is one of the oldest and the largest State owned scientific Centre of the Republic of Belarus developing fundamental and applied research in priority areas. The University cooperates with more than 50 universities of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries and more than 210 research and educational organizations from 40 countries of the world.
