Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Hosts Reception for Iranian Speaker Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf to Deepen Pakistan-Iran Bilateral Relations, Parliamentary Cooperation, and Regional Connectivity Initiatives

ISLAMABAD, Nov 6 (DNA): Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, hosted a reception in honour of the Hon’ble Speaker of the Islamic Parliament of Iran, Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and his accompanying parliamentary delegation. The event, held at the Parliament House, marked a significant step toward reinforcing the long-standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran.

During the interaction, both sides discussed ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation and institutional linkages between the National Assembly of Pakistan and the Islamic Parliament of Iran. Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that parliamentary diplomacy plays a vital role in promoting understanding and mutual respect between neighbouring countries. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding collaboration with Iran in areas of trade, energy, border management, and cultural exchange.

Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the Pakistani leadership and highlighted Iran’s desire to deepen cooperation with Pakistan through active parliamentary engagement. He noted that close coordination between the two legislatures could contribute to peace, stability, and development across the region.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, H.E. Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam, Members of the National Assembly, and members of the Pakistan-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group attended the reception. The event concluded with a reaffirmation of the mutual commitment to further strengthen Pakistan-Iran relations through continued parliamentary engagement and regional cooperation.
