Islamabad, Sept 9 (DNA): Pakistan and Kazakhstan held high-level delegation talks today in Islamabad, co-chaired by H.E. Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, and H.E. Mr. Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan. The discussions focused on reviewing the full spectrum of bilateral cooperation and advancing mutual goals across multiple sectors.
The two sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening ties and explored avenues to boost trade and investment. Both delegations emphasized the potential for deeper collaboration in key sectors including agriculture, information technology, education, culture, tourism, and security. Particular focus was placed on enhancing regional connectivity and logistics infrastructure to support economic integration and facilitate smoother trade routes between the two countries.
The talks also finalized the roadmap for the upcoming official visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, scheduled for November 2025. The visit is expected to further cement strategic ties and open new opportunities for economic and political engagement.
Following the formal discussions, Senator Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu signed the Action Plan of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. The agreement outlines concrete steps to institutionalize bilateral consultations, promote cultural and academic exchanges, and enhance diplomatic coordination at regional and multilateral fora.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the growing momentum in bilateral relations and reiterated their resolve to work closely for the prosperity and stability of the region.
