Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar met the resident Ambassadors of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Member States at the Prime Minister House over lunch earlier today.
The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the ECO for regional development. He emphasised that the ECO member states shared a common history and culture. Today, the region faces common challenges that need to be dealt with to create opportunities for collective growth and prosperity.
In this regard, the Prime Minister highlighted connectivity, trade, energy and economic cooperation.
While stressing on the significance of ECO, the Prime Minister said Pakistan was keen to further strengthen bilateral ties with each ECO member country. He looked forward to his meetings with the Heads of States of ECO Member countries on the margins of the 16th ECO Summit in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 8-9 November, 2023.
