Cape Town, JAN 7: Pakistan has been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during the recent Test match in Cape Town. According to match referee Richie Richardson, the team fell short by five overs within the allotted time.
As a result, the Pakistan team has been penalized 25% of their match fees. Additionally, they have been docked five points in the ICC World Test Championship standings.
The penalty highlights the ICC’s stringent measures to ensure teams adhere to the set over-rate regulations during matches.
