ISLAMABAD, AUG 25 /DNA/ – Chairman Al-Sadat Group, Sadat Hussain Shah, met with Philippine Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel R. Fernandez at the Philippine Embassy, where they discussed prospects for promoting tourism, cultural exchanges and people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and the Philippines.
During the meeting, Sadat Hussain Shah said there was a need to further expand tourism cooperation between the two countries. He noted that Pakistan and the Philippines could promote mutual tourism by highlighting their diverse cultural heritage, natural beauty and tourism potential.
He said the private sector could play an important role in strengthening tourism and people-to-people relations between the two countries and expressed his willingness to contribute to initiatives aimed at promoting bilateral tourism.
The meeting also discussed possible joint initiatives, exchange of experiences in the tourism sector and measures to strengthen ties between the people of Pakistan and the Philippines. Both sides expressed their commitment to exploring opportunities for greater cooperation in tourism and other areas of mutual interest.
