Pakistan rejects Indian home minister’s allegations as 'Baseless Propaganda'

ISLAMABAD, AUG 18 /DNA/ – Pakistan has vehemently dismissed recent assertions made by India’s Home Minister that attempted to link Islamabad to certain arrests within India, labeling the claims as a malicious smear campaign.

In an official statement issued on Monday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mr. Tahir Andrabi categorically rejected the allegations, asserting that they are a transparent attempt by New Delhi to divert attention from its own domestic security challenges and score “narrow domestic political gains.”

“The such propaganda is yet another demonstration of India’s malicious campaign against Pakistan,” Mr. Andrabi stated. He accused India of being a “repressive state” that brutally oppresses its minorities and silences dissent internally, while externally engaging in the export of terror and abetting terrorists.

The spokesperson further argued that India’s unfounded insinuations cannot distract the international community from what Pakistan describes as India’s “state-sponsored terrorism,” including targeted assassinations and subversive activities in foreign territories.

Mr. Andrabi reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing position, pointing to the case of Indian naval commander Kulbhushan Jadhav as “undeniable proof” of India’s direct involvement in subversion and terrorism within Pakistan. Islamabad has repeatedly shared evidence of Indian interference in its internal affairs, he added.

Concluding his statement, the spokesperson urged the global community to reject the baseless Indian allegations and hold India accountable for its alleged state-sponsored terrorism in the region. The statement was issued from Islamabad on August 17, 2026.
