ISLAMABAD: In a significant reshuffle aimed at strengthening its diplomatic presence abroad, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has reassigned ambassadors to various major capitals worldwide.

Lt. Gen. Mohammad Aamer has reached Doha, Qatar, to assume his duties as Pakistan’s new ambassador.

He replaces Dr. Mohammad Ejaz, who is set to take up the ambassadorial duties in Minsk, Belarus.

Following the retirement of Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada, Zaheer Aslam Janjua, the post remained vacant.

Senior diplomat Mohammad Saleem Khan is expected to arrive in Canada by December 29 to take charge as the new High Commissioner.
