Pakistan-UAE enjoy deep rooted brotherly ties: Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari

ISLAMABAD, MAY 17 /DNA/ – Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates enjoy unwavering relations based on  shared foundations of history, religion and culture which have been strengthening in the best interest of the people of both the countries with the passage of time.

This has been stated by Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari,  President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry while talking to Deputy Head of the Mission UAE Embassy Mohammad Sultan AlKaitoob , who held a meeting with  him  at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce Industry.

On this occasion, both sides discussed possibilities of joint economic cooperation, ways to consolidate bilateral relations and examined available investment opportunities in the industry, trade, tourism and education sectors.

Ahsan Zafar Baktawari  while  mentioning the generous relief assistance to flood victims and initiation of various development projects by UAE leadership  informed the honourable guest that Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry mulls an International Tourism Summit in Northern Areas in the first week of July-2024 to showcase the rich tourism potential of the area, which hopefully will be attended by more than twenty Ambassadors of friendly countries and that it would be a matter of great pride for ICCI if the UAE Ambassador or his representative also join the same.

On his part, DHM, UAE Embassy stressed the importance of the meeting which provided a platform to discuss opportunities for cooperation and partnership between the two brotherly states by emphasizing that the business communities of Pakistan and the UAE have to explore new vistas of cooperation for the benefit of the people of both the sides by increasing trade volumes in the days to come.

The visiting guest went on to say that he found the people of Pakistan as very caring and hardworking adding that exchange of specific information about the areas of investment will be an extra mile in fostering this connectivity.

ICCI Group leader Khalid Iqbal Malik said that there exists sufficient potential for fostering the prevailing social, cultural and economic ties that bind the two countries.

Secretary General United Business Group Zafar Zafar Bakhtawari also shed light on the historic cordial relationship between the two countries by terming the ICCI Business Opportunities Conference held in UAE as very successful and result oriented.

On this occasion, ICCI executive members Rizwan Cheena and Ch. Maqsood Tabish alongwith Khalid Ch. Malik Nadeem Akhtar, Naima Ansari were also present.
