CHAKWAL, JAN 13 /DNA/ – Waqar Zafar Bakhtawari, President of Chakwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Member Syndicate University of Chakwal, has congratulated Pakistani-American politician  Fozia Janjua on becoming the mayor of Mont Laurel, New Jersey.

In a statement, he said that it is a matter of pride for Pakistan that Fozia Janjua is the first Pakistani woman to become the mayor of any US county. She has achieved the highest political office in the county on the basis of her hard work, honesty and performance.

Waqar Bakhtawari further said that all overseas Pakistanis, including those in America, should be proud of Fozia Janjua’s success. Her political success is an inspiration for Pakistanis living abroad. He added that there is a need for Pakistanis living in the United States to participate more and more in the political process so that it can benefit Pakistan and the Pakistani community.

Waqar Bakhtawari said that Fozia Janjua belongs to Chakwal. Her success has made the people of the area proud. We will soon invite her to visit Chakwal and hold a grand ceremony in her honor.
