WARSAW, JUN 03 (DNA) — Murtaza Yaqoob, Ehtesham Aslam, and Abdul Rehman, have made the nation proud by delivering an outstanding performance on foreign soil. Representing Siemianowice Śląskie Hockey Club, the trio played a key role in leading their team to victory in the final of the First Super League Hockey Cup held in Poland.

The final match of the prestigious Super League First Championship saw Siemianowice Śląskie Hockey Club emerge as champions, thanks in large part to the stellar performances of the three former international players from Pakistan. Their exceptional skills and teamwork captivated hockey fans in Europe and won hearts across the board.

Ehtesham Aslam was declared the Best Player of the Semi-FinalBest Player of the Final, and ultimately Best Player of the Tournament, reflecting his all-around brilliance throughout the league. Abdul Rehman earned the honor of Top Goal Scorer of the Tournament, while Murtaza Yaqoob was named the Best Defender of the Tournament, solidifying his status as a defensive powerhouse.

The club’s coach praised the performance of the Pakistani players, stating, “It is a matter of great pride to have Pakistani heroes playing with us and leading the club to championship glory. Their experience and game skills are not only enhancing the performance of our senior players but also greatly benefiting our juniors.”

Speaking on the occasion, Murtaza Yaqoob expressed his pride: “Our team remained undefeated throughout the Super League — we didn’t lose a single match. This is the result of our hard work and planning, and we are proud to have raised our country’s flag high.” Ehtesham Aslam credited his success to his loved ones and supporters:

Being named the Best Player of the Tournament is a huge honor for me.” Top scorer Abdul Rehman also shared his thoughts, saying: “Being the top scorer of the tournament is a great personal achievement. Unfortunately, I had to miss a few matches due to injury, but we all worked hard for our club, and today, by the grace of Allah, we are reaping the reward.”
