ISLAMABAD, JUL 04 (DNA) — Pakistani students attended Confucius Classroom Summer Camp in Chengdu, China, Gwadar Pro reported on Friday.According to the report, the Confucius Classroom Summer Camp of Cadet College Petaro, Sindh, has successfully concluded at Sichuan Normal University in Chengdu.
The 14-day cultural exchange program (June 16–29), themed “Language Connectivity, Cultural Exchange, and Youth Mutual Trust,” brought together 29 students and 3 teachers from Cadet College Petaro, according to the college.
Through a variety of activities—such as traditional Chinese calligraphy, martial arts, and poetry—the participants gained a deeper appreciation of the richness of Chinese culture and witnessed firsthand China’s profound historical heritage and dynamic technological progress.
The camp featured a mix of language instruction, cultural workshops, and field visits. Students took part in mask-making and poetry sessions, and explored key landmarks including the Chengdu Panda Base, Jinli Ancient Street, and the Sichuan Science and Technology Museum.
The summer camp served as a flagship people-to-people exchange initiative under the Confucius Institute framework and aligned with the Belt and Road Initiative’s spirit of cultural connectivity.
According to the college, the program enhanced the students’ cross-cultural understanding, language skills, and mutual trust between Pakistani and Chinese youth, the report added. — DNA
