Palestine condemns Israel’s funding for Al-Aqsa Judaization

RAMALLAH, AUG 27: /DNA/ – In a blatant challenge and disdain for Arab, Islamic and international reactions to the call launched yesterday by extremist Minister Ben Gvir, the so-called Minister of Heritage in the occupation government announced the allocation of two million shekels to support settlers’ raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque and to promote the alleged “biblical narrative” about the mosque, according to his claim.

The ministry considers that this announced support represents an official Israeli policy that is intent on Judaizing Al-Aqsa Mosque and changing its existing legal reality, and threatens to explode the situation in the West Bank and plunge it into a spiral of chaos, in a manner that coincides with what was reported in the Hebrew media regarding the expansion of the scope of the occupation’s military and bloody operations in the occupied West Bank, and it also coincides with a noticeable escalation in the attacks of terrorist settler militias, as happened recently in the villages south of Bethlehem.

The Ministry considers the allocation of Israeli government funds, announced and unannounced, to be clear evidence of the occupation government’s involvement in these attacks. This measure is also a translation of Ben Gvir’s racist colonial policy to control the mosque, and falls within the framework of promoting the claim of equal right to prayer, but in reality it is a desecration of the holy place and a step towards Judaizing Al-Aqsa Mosque and imposing temporal division, just as the occupation is doing in the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron. The Ministry is following these developments at all levels and through the embassies and missions of the State of Palestine and accredited diplomatic channels to expose this conspiracy, and to mobilize the broadest international pressure on the Israeli government to stop it immediately, and force it to comply with and implement the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice.
