PESHAWAR, Oct 02 (DNA): The Passport Delivery Counter at the Kohat Passport Office will remain open on Saturdays for the next two months to provide citizens with an additional opportunity to collect their completed passports.
Assistant Director Passports Kohat Muhammad Farhan said the facility was being provided under a nationwide decision by the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports to keep passport delivery counters operational on Saturdays.
He said the counter would remain open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., enabling applicants who could not collect their passports during regular working hours to avail themselves of the additional facility.
Farhan advised applicants to bring their passport receipt, valid identification documents and other required documents when visiting the office.
He also cautioned that passports remaining uncollected for more than six months could be disposed of in accordance with government rules.
The extended service is expected to provide greater flexibility to passport applicants and help reduce delays in collecting completed passports.
