PCB asks ICC to penalise Suryakumar Yadav over political remarks

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has urged the International Cricket Council (ICC) to take disciplinary action against India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav for making a political statement.

During the ongoing ICC meeting in Dubai, the PCB presented two formal demands. The first calls for the removal of Andy Pycroft from officiating in the Asia Cup. The second seeks a penalty against Suryakumar Yadav, accusing him of making politically charged remarks.

All members of the Pakistan national cricket team were seen waiting in the hotel lobby, with their luggage already loaded onto the team bus. The players are awaiting a green signal from the PCB.

A press conference by the PCB is expected shortly.
