PEC, NADRA sign MoU to promote Digital Transformation and e-Governance
ISLAMABAD, Oct 31 (APP/DNA):A new era of digital transformation has begun for engineers in Pakistan as the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in advanced technology and digital solutions.

The signing ceremony, held on Friday, was attended by Chairman PEC Engineer Waseem Nazir and Chairman NADRA Lt. Gen. Muhammad Munir Afzal.

The agreement aims to strengthen PEC’s systems through modern digital infrastructure and promote transparency by transitioning towards a paperless environment.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman PEC, Engineer Waseem Nazir said that under the MoU, NADRA will provide PEC with secure data hosting, digital systems, and technical assistance in developing software and applications.

He said NADRA will also facilitate a secure digital framework for PEC’s election system, ensuring efficiency and transparency in administrative operations.

“This partnership marks a major step forward in transforming PEC into a modern, transparent, and technology-driven organization,” said Engineer Waseem Nazir.

“The collaboration will enable engineers across the country to access modern, online facilities anytime and anywhere, ushering in a new era of convenience and innovation.”

He further emphasized that NADRA’s support will strengthen PEC’s integration with the national ICT infrastructure, helping the council adopt a more efficient and transparent governance model.

The officials from NADRA termed the agreement a key milestone in promoting e-governance and digital public services in Pakistan.

They said the partnership will pave the way for mutual projects focused on the exchange of technical expertise and the use of emerging technologies to improve service delivery.

The MoU signifies PEC’s firm commitment to advancing technological innovation, improving administrative efficiency, and providing seamless digital solutions to Pakistan’s engineering community.
