ISLAMABAD, Oct 11 (DNA):From developing software solutions to helping international organisations make sense of complex information, Peshawar’s Abdullah Rashid is making his mark in the world of artificial intelligence (AI), showing how Pakistani technology professionals can contribute to solving real-world problems.
Talking to APP , Rashid said artificial intelligence was changing the way organisations handled large amounts of information, but the real challenge was to make the technology reliable, accurate and easy to verify.
AI-generated information is only useful when people can verify where it came from and understand the context in which it was presented, he said.
Rashid is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of ClearTraced, a Sweden-based AI data company that develops technology to collect and organise information from company reports and other published documents.
He told APP that banks, investors and research organisations often had to examine thousands of pages to find important figures and facts. The AI system could make this work easier by identifying relevant information and linking it to its original source.
He explained that finding a number in a report was not enough, as its meaning also depended on the reporting year, unit of measurement and other details.
To address this challenge, ClearTraced uses automated checks along with human review, allowing experts to verify information, identify mistakes and make corrections before using the data.
Highlighting the wider benefits of the technology, Rashid said ClearTraced was also supporting research related to children’s rights.
He said the Global Child Forum was using the company’s technology to collect information from corporate reports as part of its research into how major companies protect and promote children’s rights.
The AI system helps collect and organise publicly available information, while researchers check the findings according to their established research methods.
Rashid said this showed how artificial intelligence could reduce lengthy and repetitive work without replacing human expertise and judgment.
Speaking about his professional journey, he said he had also founded Metasense, a software development company that grew into a team of more than 30 professionals and worked with over 100 startups and businesses.
He said the experience helped him understand how new technology could be developed into practical solutions that met the needs of customers and businesses.
Rashid also worked on Look Atlas, an AI-powered product photography platform that allows businesses to create product and model images for advertising and marketing by using photographs of their existing products.
He said AI-generated product images should closely match the original items, including their shape, material and appearance, so that customers were not misled.
Besides developing AI solutions, Rashid is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and has contributed to discussions on the use of artificial intelligence in online shopping and business operations.
He was also listed among the judges for AI Solution Makers in September 2026.
Rashid said the success of artificial intelligence should not be measured only by how quickly it completed a task, but also by how accurately and responsibly it delivered results.
He said financial experts needed correct figures, researchers required reliable information and businesses needed technology that could solve their everyday problems.
He emphasised that artificial intelligence could play an important role in making difficult tasks easier, provided that accuracy, transparency and human supervision remained central to its use.
