ISLAMABAD, AUG 9 /DNA/ – The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), in collaboration with the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), successfully organized a comprehensive four-day Hockey Umpiring Workshop as part of its ongoing mission to develop world-class Pakistani umpires and technical officials capable of representing the country at the highest international level.
The workshop was conducted by internationally renowned FIH Umpire Manager & Educator, Mr. Faiz Muhammad (Fazi), who delivered extensive classroom and practical sessions on the latest FIH Rules, match management, positioning, communication, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure.
Held under the supervision of the Pakistan Hockey Federation and Pakistan Sports Board, the course provided participants with outstanding learning opportunities, modern rule interpretations, and practical on-field guidance to improve the overall standard of hockey officiating in Pakistan.
The initiative reflects the Pakistan Hockey Federation’s vision of strengthening the country’s officiating structure by producing highly qualified umpires and technical officials who can proudly serve at continental and international competitions.
The workshop concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, where Deputy Director General, Pakistan Sports Board, Mr. Mumtaz, presented certificates to all successful participants. He appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, Pakistan Sports Board, and Mr. Faiz Muhammad (Fazi) for their commitment to the education and professional development of Pakistan’s hockey officials.
Participants described the workshop as an exceptional learning experience that significantly enhanced their knowledge, confidence, and practical skills. The successful completion of the course marks another important milestone in the continued efforts of the Pakistan Hockey Federation to revive hockey and raise the standard of umpiring and technical officiating across Pakistan and on the international stage.
