“PIDC Driving Industrial Growth: Advancing Pakistan’s New Vision”

ISLAMABAD: NOV 4 (DNA): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan, visited the Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) today.

During the visit, CEO PIDC briefed Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan on the Corporation’s performance, ongoing projects, and future initiatives. The meeting also reviewed key developments including the Master Plan of Karachi Industrial Park, land lease policy of Bin Qasim Industrial Park, and the establishment of a customs bonded warehouse.

Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan emphasized that PIDC serves as the backbone of the country’s industrial structure and plays a central role in implementing the new industrial policy.

He stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision focuses on building a strong industrial base and creating employment opportunities across Pakistan.

Highlighting the strategic significance of the Karachi Industrial Park, Mr. Khan noted that its establishment will enhance national exports, open new avenues for investment, and strengthen Pakistan’s industrial ecosystem.

Under the new industrial policy, greater facilitation will be extended to local industries, he said, adding that PIDC’s role will be crucial in ensuring effective implementation of the policy framework.

Mr. Khan reaffirmed the government’s commitment to industrial reforms, transparency, and modern infrastructure, stating that efficiency and accountability in ongoing PIDC projects remain top priorities.

He concluded that a comprehensive strategy is being developed to make PIDC’s role more effective and dynamic in driving sustainable industrial growth in Pakistan.
