PM attends British reception

ISLAMABAD: (DNA) — Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday joined the British High Commissioner and members of the diplomatic community to celebrate the birthday of His Majesty King Charles III at a ceremony held in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister, accompanied by senior cabinet members and officials, cut a cake to mark the occasion, extending warm greetings and best wishes to the British monarch and the people of the United Kingdom.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the historic and enduring ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, noting that the two nations share deep-rooted relations built on mutual respect, cooperation, and shared values. He expressed confidence that the bilateral partnership would continue to grow stronger in diverse fields, including trade, education, climate action, and people-to-people contacts.

The British High Commissioner thanked the Prime Minister and the Government of Pakistan for their participation and goodwill, reaffirming the UK’s commitment to further strengthening its relations with Pakistan.

The event was attended by diplomats, senior government officials, business leaders, and members of civil society, making it a vibrant celebration of friendship and diplomatic goodwill between the two countries.
