ISLAMABAD, Jan 01 (DNA):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday expressed his condolences over the tragic fire incident in Switzerland causing deaths and injuries.
The prime minister, in a social media post on X, expressed grief over the loss of lives in the incident and prayed for early recovery of the injured.
“Deeply saddened to learn of the tragic fire incident at a ski resort in Switzerland on New Year night. Our hearts goes out to those who lost their lives and pray for the early recovery of the injured,” he wrote.
Prime Minister Shehbaz said that Pakistan stood in solidarity with the government and the people of Switzerland at this difficult time.
According to the media reports quoting Swiss authorities, “several dozen” people were presumed to have died in a fire at a Swiss ski resort. Around 100 are injured, with “several nationalities” involved.
