DOHA, JUN 24: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday held separate meetings with the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to supporting regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.
Prime Minister Shehbaz met with the Ambassador of Qatar to express solidarity following the recent missile attacks in the region. “We pray for the safety and security of our Qatari brothers and sisters, and the entire region,” he said.
The prime minister reiterated that Pakistan has always supported dialogue and diplomacy as the only viable path to achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.
In his meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz discussed the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East. He conveyed his heartfelt prayers and good wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as for Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia and emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to working closely with the Kingdom to promote peace in the region.
