ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the amendment to the Management Pay Scale Policy 2020 provisioning changes in experience requirements for multiple scales.
Under the new changes, the experience and trial period for MP1, MP2 and MP3 scales have been shortened. The aforesaid scales are equivalent to Grade 22, 21 and 20, respectively.
For the MP1 scale, a minimum of seven years of experience in the relevant field would be required if the individual holds a PhD degree. However, in the case of a Master’s degree, the minimum experience has been set at nine years.
Meanwhile, a minimum of five and seven years of experience will be required for the MP2 scale in the case of PhD and Master’s degrees, respectively.
A minimum experience of three years would be required in the case of a PhD degree, and a minimum experience of five years would be required in the case of a Master’s degree for the MP3 scale.
Previously, a minimum experience of 14 years was required in the case of a PhD degree, and 18 years in the case of a Master’s degree for the MP1 scale. Whereas a minimum of 10 years of experience was required in the case of a PhD degree, and 14 years in the case of a Master’s degree for MP2 scale.
For MP3, a minimum of six years of experience was required in the case of a PhD degree, and a minimum of 10 years of experience was required in the case of a Master’s degree.
The Establishment Division has sent a copy of the amendment to all ministries and divisions.
