PM Shehbaz pays tribute to Capt. Sarwar Shaheed on 76th martyrdom anniversary

ISLAMABAD, Jul 27 (DNA):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday paid tribute to Capt. Sarwar Shaheed (Nishan-i-Haider), on his 76th martyrdom anniversary, lauded his valor and sacrifice to safeguard the country.

The prime minister, in a statement, said that Captain Sarwar Shaheed embraced martyrdom in the 1948 war by setting an example of courage and bravery.

He said that Capt. Sarwar Shaheed preferred the protection of his motherland to his life and set an eternal example for the generations to come.

The prime minister said that Captain Sarwar Shaheed’s martyrdom anniversary was a reminder for the entire nation of the unparalleled sacrifices of the martyrs.

He said the whole nation could never forget the sacrifices of the officers and men of the Pakistan Army for safeguarding the country.

“The entire nation, including me, is proud of the martyrs of the Pakistan Army and their families. The entire nation stands by the officers and men of the Pakistan armed forces who are defending the country without caring about their own lives, ” he added.
