ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan-Turkiye fraternal ties are unparalleled in terms of mutual trust, understanding and support on each other’s national causes.
He was talking to Turkiye’s new Ambassador Mehmet Pacaci who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
The Prime Minister hoped that during the ambassador’s tenure, bilateral cooperation will be further strengthened, especially in trade and investment domains.
He expressed gratitude for Turkiye’s steadfast support on Jammu and Kashmir dispute and reiterated Islamabad’s commitment on core interests of Istanbul.
Shehbaz Sharif said he looks forward to welcoming Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the 7th session of High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council being held in September in Islamabad this year.
A day earlier, Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Pacaci called on Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar in Islamabad.
During the meeting, both the sides expressed desire to further strengthen collaboration in all areas of mutual interest.
They expressed satisfaction at convergence of views on a number of regional and global issues.
