KOHAT, Jan 14 (APP/DNA): The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has announced the formation of a Mobilization Committee to oversee preparations for its upcoming Youth and Workers Convention, slated for February 5, 2026, in Kohat. The move underscores the party’s focus on energizing its base and engaging young political activists.
The committee was constituted on the recommendation of Sajid Hussain Turi, President of PPP Kohat Division, and approved by Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, Provincial President PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to an official notification issued by the Provincial Secretariat PPP, KP.
Comprised of senior party leaders and office-bearers, the committee includes Barrister Masood Kausar (Member, Central Executive Committee), Amjad Afridi (Provincial Secretary Information), Sajid Hussain Turi (Divisional President), Advocate Abdul Rauf (Secretary General, Kohat Division), and Mehr Sultana (Member Provincial Assembly). Its mandate covers mobilization, coordination, and organizational arrangements for the convention.
The notification, signed by Mohammad Shujah Khan, Provincial General Secretary PPP KP, was forwarded to senior officials including Jameel Ahmed Somro, Political Secretary to the Chairman PPP; Engineer Hamayoon Khan, Secretary General PPP; and Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, Provincial President PPP KP. Party leaders emphasized that the convention aims to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence and actively involve youth in political processes.
