ISLAMABAD, NOV 20 (DNA) — Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that the general elections should not go beyond the scheduled date of February 8, 2024.

According to the report, the PPP leader from Punjab expressed some concerns over the date of the general elections and said it would be better if the elections were held on the last week of January 2024.

The PPP leader said political parties are not getting a level playing field for the elections and a certain political party is being fully supported. He said the media and other parties are expressing reservations about the support of a particular party.

He also prayed for a peaceful and transparent election. Kaira confirmed that the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the PPP were still in touch and both are still seen in the context of the coalition government. — DNA
