In according to President Xi Jinping’s vision, the People Republic of China going ahead with its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), aimed at connecting the world for the better and prosperous future of human being irrespective of race, religion and colour. Going into depth of BRI objectives, one can easily understand that Chinese didn’t believe in race for strategic or expansionalism and economic purposes or for getting supremacy on political and diplomatic fronts or on industrial sides. But it confirms that Chinese believes in respect for human norms and live and let to live.
Whatever might be claims and views of analysts but in existing circumstances, Chinese making their best to remain neutral and credible throughout the world. President Xi Jinping’s efforts in according to BRI framework is now expanding beyond the Chinese border. The vision is now converting into a reality and from a general framework into concrete projects, thus earning global trust and faith.
No one can deny the fact that some of world powers, especially United States through its aggressions and expansionalism focused policies is pushing the world towards worst kind of hostilities and confrontations but the Peoples Republic of China working on another side. China is helping others to avoid confrontations and hostilities, preferring peace, stability and coexistence with mutual respect. The main purpose of BRI is to restore over two millennia old friendship and connectivity amongst the Asians, European and Africans through Land Silk Road. For such a glorious purpose, Chinese are giving utmost preference to peace, security and ending of every sort of aggression and hostilities.
No one can deny the fact that Pakistan is considered most trusted friend of China and considered most instrumental in President Xi Jinping’s BRI initiatives. Despite playing a key role in its economic and industrial development, Chinese are always neutral in its internal affairs. However, China has always encouraging Pakistan in its combat against terror. China is against of every sort of violence and opposing terrorism and extremism. Chinese believes that Pakistan is suffered too much due to terror, therefore it is in dire need of peace and tranquility. During a get together, Chinese supported National Action Plan ( NAP) derived for ending terrorism and extremism in December 2014 last and always advocating its early implementation.
According to Chinese diplomats and high up, China is extending maximum support to Pakistan for the revival of its economic sectors. In this respect, China is making valuable contribution in development of agriculture, communication, mining, information technology, health and education. Most recently China and Pakistan signed 10 pacts for extending bilateral cooperation in different sectors. These 10 pacts are included two more productive blocks in industrial sectors. In every sphere of life, Chinese are interested to support and help Pakistan and for the purpose, interested in strengthening people to people contacts between the two countries. “We are determined to cooperate and coordinate with people of Pakistan,” one of Chinese diplomat remarked during a get together.
Besides others, the Chinese are much more interested in economic and development sectors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Chinese believes that proper utilization of mineral resources, agriculture and other economic sectors, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could become most prosperous and progressive part of Pakistan. But the only hurdle is security, and China intends for early return of a durable peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is possible with proper implementation of National Action Plan.
Though Pakistan made successful use of Chinese technology in recent four-days war against India but at the same time Chinese also voiced for ceasefire and settling of issues through peaceful and political means. Compare to Pakistan, India has a vast economic and consumer markets, therefore, Chinese also wants to have good relations with India, despite some border disputes. During a get together, it was observed that Chinese are also favouring ending of hostilities and confrontation between Islamabad and New Delhi.
No one can deny the fact Pakistan considering India is a Red Line in all of its internal and external issues but at the same time Chinese playing a balancing role between the two countries. On one side Pakistan is a treated most confidential friend but on the other Chinese believe tha6 India is an independent country. China is determined to help on cooling down hostilities between the two country. Chinese didn’t believe in proxy wars and opposing terrorism and extremism whatever may be the circumstances.
Regarding Afghanistan, the People’s Republic of China is helping both Kabul to Pakistan to enter into trust-worthy relations with each others. Pakistan is expecting Afghanistan Interim Government to help in curbing of cross border terror. On such grounds China supporting Pakistan’s claims that AIG must control Pakistani militants sheltering across the border in Afghanistan and must address Pakistan’s concerns in this respect. Afghanistan, especially AIG has old links with TTP and its affiliated other groups and seminaries. However, Chinese are also of the firm belief that AIG lacking capacity in handling of handling the situation due to freezing of its accounts/assets. But at the same time, Chinese are mum over Pakistan’s decisions pertained to evacuation of Afghan nationals. Besides UN and its organs like UNHCR, several world countries are unhappy with forced evacuation of Afghan nationals as across the border in Afghanistan Taliban regime is ahead with stock of issues in rehabilitation of repatriating citizens.
“Taliban regime has controlled the situation in Afghanistan which even didn’t by USSR and US,’ remarked by a Chinese diplomat. However, diplomat conceded that there exists but even fueling mis-trust between the two neighbouring countries. In this respect, China making its best to make closure both Pakistan and Afghanistan with each others, which is essential for restoration of a viable peace in the region. Chinese are also endorsing Afghanistan’s claim over Wakhan strip, considering “Wakhan is legitimate part of Afghanistan.” China is engaged in construction of Road Corridor for linking Afghanistan directly and considering it a milestone in BRI of President X Jingping
Regarding recent deal between Pakistan and United States pertained to utilization of rare mineral deposits, Chinese believes that Pakistan is a sovereign country and having the right to make decisions about utilization of its resources. According to Chinese, Pakistan is in dire need of development which is possible through improvement of security situation, return of durable peace and ending every sort of terror and violence. In this respect, Chinese are interested to extend maximum support to Pakistan in this respect.
