ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Director General Yawar Hussain has honoured Dr. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed, CEO of ACTIVIT and Director of National Hospital, in recognition of his contributions to sports development and athlete welfare in Pakistan.

During a meeting, the DG PSB appreciated Dr. Rizwan’s support for athletes through sponsorships, medical and nutritional assistance, and collaboration with sports organisations.

ACTIVIT recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Director of the PSB Coaching Centre Lahore to promote sports development, athlete support and joint initiatives. The DG PSB also acknowledged ACTIVIT’s sponsorship of Independence Day celebrations at the centre in August 2026.

The meeting highlighted the importance of private-sector participation in strengthening sports and supporting athletes competing at national and international levels. Dr. Rizwan’s contributions span multiple disciplines, including assistance to athletes affiliated with national sports federations.

Dr. Rizwan has also expressed interest in sponsoring an international bodybuilding competition organised by the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation under the proposed title ACTIVIT Fitness Challenge, aimed at promoting fitness and providing athletes with opportunities to compete internationally.

In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Rizwan was presented with a commemorative shield and a blazer of excellence by the DG PSB and the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation.

Through ACTIVIT, Dr. Rizwan has supported athletes with medical, nutritional and financial assistance, particularly during competition preparations. His initiatives reflect the growing role of private-sector partnerships in improving athlete healthcare, access to resources and opportunities for sporting excellence in Pakistan.
