PTI approaches IHC over recovery of missing workers

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) approached on Monday the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking the recovery of its missing workers.

According to details, PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan has filed a petition that includes a list of 16 missing workers.

The petition named several officials as respondents, including the secretary of interior, secretary of defence, Islamabad IG, FIA DG, CTD SSP, and Islamabad. Advocate General It stated: “While some of the 16 workers have been recovered, others remain missing”.

The petition requested the court to issue orders to end the practice of enforced disappearances and to declare such actions as violations of Articles 4, 9, 10, 14, 19, and 25 of the constitution.

Furthermore, the petition called for the identification of the agencies and officers involved in these enforced disappearances.”
